Bodegas Muga
Wine with a powerful chromatic range going from deep purple to bright red in the rings around the rim. Seductive nose, with elegant aromas of preserves and patisserie over a spicy layer with hints of cinnamon, caramel, cocoa, dill and hay. A silky mouth-feel, with especially sweet tannins, and in the retro-olfaction phase the highly complex nuances of dried herbs and scrubland nuances come to the fore.
Wine Spectator
Toast and cola notes frame rich plum and fig flavors in this concentrated red, which is bright and polished, though there's depth under the muscular tannins. Impressive in the modern style. Best from 2011 through 2021.

Wine Enthusiast
Among the world's bruising, full-bodied wines, Torre Muga is a flag bearer. This vintage offers cola, pepper, coffee and sweet blackberry fruit aromas, and the palate is tannic, acidic, grabby and full of life. Flavors of blackberry, dark plum and spice are pure as they come, with espresso on the finish. Let this sit another few years to allow the fierce tannins to mellow; best 2012-2017.

Wine Advocate
The 2006 Torre Muga is opaque purple-colored with an appealing nose of smoke, pencil lead, Asian spices, balsamic, and blackberry. A bit lean on the palate but with savory flavors, it will not make old bones but is approachable now.

Biodynamic designation is regulated by Demeter, an international certification organization. Biodynamic agriculture is based on the view of a farm as a self-contained organism. Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
