Eye: Dark ruby red.
Nose: Spices, red berries and delicate oak aromas.
Palate: Round soft tannins. Aromas of raspberry, blackberry and vanilla.
Overall: Balance between scarcely perceptible acidity and tannins which add ageing potential and softened by long ageing in oak.
Wine Spectator
Delicious. Smooth and packed with sweet fruit; elegant and racy, delivering layers of rose petals, mocha, raspberries, black currants, smoke and mineral. Full-bodied, the finish seduces with its balance. Tempting now, but will improve with age. Drink now through 2015. 20,830 cases made.

Wine Enthusiast
Supple and easy to drink, this is as good an introduction to Cote-Rotie as any. Minerally and tinged with beef blood on the nose, then showing solid berry flavors accented by herbal notes on the palate. Develops meaty notes on the finish. With 25,000 cases produced, it's the Cote-Rotie consumers are most likely to find.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.

All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
