Focused and tangy, this 2004 auslese brings apricot, orange and grapefruit aromas and flavors to the party. It's supported by a vibrant structure, picking up a hint of mineral on the finish. Very crisp and clean. Drink now through 2025.

Wine Advocate
The 2004 Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Auslese smells of fresh apple and white peach, but with an overlay of honey and estrous, almost spirituous notes indicative of noble rot. In the mouth, a hint of caramelization creeps into the pit fruit character, allied to a nut past and honey undertone appropriate to the wine’s creamy mouth feel. The finish continues the juxtaposition of fresh fruit and botrytised fruit elements, creaminess and a lovely measure of juiciness and sheer sap. Warm spiced apple and hints of white raisin have the last word, at least for now. I’d like to see just what this immensely promising, perhaps restless wine grows up to be.

Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
